Please, note that this is a work in progess
The Following photos was inspired by the song Vesuvio by Spakka Neapolis 55, that I have heard the first time in the movie Passione by John Turturro.
Load the song and listen it, maybe can help to appreciate better the shots.
More, I would like to give my special thanks to Emanuela, that supported me and gave the right suggestions about this photos.
I miss this view.
I miss this mountain.
I miss the Vesuvio.
I grew up viewing this vulcan every morning, and now I miss it.
I’ve done this photo for all the Neapolitans that, like me, lives far away from home.
Maybe you miss it, too.
The first shot was taken at 4.55 AM in Castellammare di Stabia, in the summer of 2011.
I hope that this could let you feel more colse to home, in some ways.
addò staje chiuse d’a matina a sera
si’ o purgatorio ‘e tutt’ chesta ‘ggente
ca vive dint’ e barrache e vive ‘e stient’
si fumm’ o si nun fumm’ ‘o faje rumore
‘o fuoco che te puort’ dint’ o core
quann’ fa notte ‘e o ciel’ se fa scur’
sul’ o ricordo ‘e te ce fa paura
si jesce pazz è pazz overamente
Montagna fatta ‘e lava ‘e cient’ vie
Tu tien’ ‘mman a te’ sta vita meja
